TYPES OF POOLS

Aesthetics meets technology

The appearance of a pool also depends on its filtration system.
The classic option is the skimmer, which features inlets along the pool walls. The most visually striking system is the overflow edge, for which we offer a wide range of styles.

SKIMMER

The luxury of simplicity

How does it work

Skimmers are openings located along the top edge of the pool that collect water and send it to the sand filter. Once disinfected, the water is returned to the pool through return inlets.

The classic filtration system
In the “skimmer” system, which is very simple and therefore widely used, the water level sits lower than the pool walls and surrounding deck. Modern skimmers, known as overflow skimmers, provide an excellent aesthetic effect while keeping costs manageable.

CASCADE

Special shapes for special contexts

Materials

The recessed grate through which the water flows is fully customizable and available in a variety of materials, from wood to natural stone, marble, and polished pebbles, creating a highly impressive aesthetic effect.

The solution for terraced or sloped terrains

The waterfall pool model is a special overflow-edge solution, ideal for prestigious settings, panoramic views, sloped terrain, and multi-level interconnected pools.

How does it work
The waterfall is usually positioned on one or two sides of the pool, allowing the water to flow over the edge and cascade downward with a gentle, relaxing sound, creating a pleasant and immersive atmosphere. The filtration system is identical to that of an overflow pool and therefore requires a balance tank.

CLASSIC OVERFLOW

Your very own water mirror

How does it work

In overflow-edge pools, the water flows into a perimeter channel and from there into a tank known as the “balance tank.” From this tank, it is drawn into the filtration system and then returned to the pool. This system ensures high water quality, as the less clean surface layer is continuously purified from organic residues.

The water follows the pool's edge
The overflow system creates an elegant “mirror” effect with a strong visual impact: the pool blends harmoniously into its surroundings and appears more spacious.
Integrated system

Our pools use the innovative Castiglione Integrated Overflow System, an intelligent combination of a technical room and a prefabricated balance tank, installed underground in the garden. This system eliminates the need for costly and complex masonry work, significantly simplifying installation and reducing costs, making overflow pools highly accessible.

FREEDOM OVERFLOW

Relax floating on the water

Wide choice of finishes
The finishes of this edge can be made from materials such as gres, marble, stone, and wood. Fixed to the overflow edge, they become one with the surrounding surface: a premium solution with a strong aesthetic impact.
Freedom, elegance and linearity

Among our overflow-edge pool models, you can choose the hidden overflow system Freedom: the water disappears beneath the surrounding pool decking, creating a highly refined, minimalist, and visually clean effect.

TRILOGY OVERFLOW

The new form of overflow pools

Three finishes, an incomparable spectacle

Trilogy is an innovative technology that transforms your pool into a highly scenic and visually striking space. With this type of overflow channel, it is possible to incorporate premium finishes such as polished pebbles and natural stone grates, or create a simple slot by aligning the tiles with the surrounding paving, achieving an unmatched level of elegance and refinement.

How does it work

With the Trilogy overflow edge, the water reaches the surrounding paving and flows into the drainage channel through nearly imperceptible openings. The result is a thin veil of water that disappears silently along the pool’s perimeter walkway: an elegant interplay between glossy and matte, water and stone, becoming the protagonists of a refined geometric design.

CRYSTAL OVERFLOW

Immerse yourself in a crystal pool

Materials
Methacrylate, used for pool walls but also for aircraft windows, is a material with excellent properties. Similar to glass in its transparency but more flexible, it pairs perfectly with our steel structures, which are also flexible and suitable for any condition. Unlike glass, methacrylate does not absorb moisture and can be welded, providing lightness and ease of transport to the entire structure.
Light plays and elegant transparencies
Crystal overflow-edge pools represent a sophisticated solution with a strong visual impact, ensuring durability and resistance to aging. Safety standards are extremely high, as is the aesthetic result: certified crystal-clear.
